Silver Sensation!!!
Am chuffed to bits one of my images won a Silver Award in the SWPP (Society of Portrait & Wedding Photographers) Awards in November 2009. Being awarded a silver by my peers means a tremendous amount to me, thank you...

Autumn Light
My blog is a place where I can share what I get up to in my spare time, and this usually involves having a camera in hand. This afternoon Richard, Millie and I took ourselves along the railway line at Culter in the outskirts of Aberdeen's West End. There has been so much rain recently that all the fields are flooded - fabulous if you're a swan!! You never know what you're going to see but can only capture it if you have your camera with you.
Have uploaded one of Richard and Millie too.

A Million Here a Million There......
Frank Turner - Edinburgh gig
Frank Turner
Brett Domino Trio Frontman - Rob
I don’t think I’ll ever tire of going to gigs and listening to live music - have uploaded some pics taken from Frank Turner (ex Million Dead front man) and Brett Domino gigs. Was really chuffed when Leeds College of Music asked to use one of my images for an article on the Trio - all the band members studied there. If you've got a couple of minutes have a look at their very funny 'Stylophone Beatbox Hip-hop Medley'... it's had over a million views on You Tube already - incredible.

Amazing Grace
Had so much fun today doing a shoot of Grace - a delightful two year old. Think she takes after her stunning mum Beth. The Duthie Park in Aberdeen was really quiet today - shooting on a Friday rather than weekend meant we pretty much had the park to ourselves.

Passionate about Pets
A trick to get them to sit still - some cheese!
Millie the Schnauzer.
Our own Millie - a Deerhound/Lurcher cross. A beautiful temperament - maybe because she's a rescue dog?

New England in North East Scotland
We've just moved house - our internet wasn't connected yet, so we took the opportunity to wander round the beautiful Crathes Castle Gardens. The autumn colours were pretty spectacular.
So now our internet connection is back up and running I can share some of the images with you.

Boudoir Shoot
At this time of year everyone is thinking about what they can get their partners for Christmas - something that's maybe a little different. For women a boudoir shoot can make the ideal pressie for that special someone and for men they can always give a Boudoir Voucher as a gift - especially if your partner has some kind of milestone in their life, such as a special birthday, or maybe as a wedding or anniversary gift.
The beauty of a boudoir shoot is that with proper lighting and care we can enhance the best bits whilst taking the emphasis away from the bits we don't like - we all have them!!
Here are some recent Boudoir shots as an example of what can be done with beautiful lighting.

Fringe Madness
These could only have been taken in one place during the summer. Yes, it's the Edinburgh Fringe - the one place a photographer can relax and take pics in public without worrying about being nicked.

Brett Domino Trio
You may have been lucky enough to see the brilliant Brett Domino in Britain's got Talent earlier in the year. They played a live gig in Kendal during the summer and we went along to see them and take some stills.
They're amazingly talented and extremely funny - visit their website and see some of their videos on You Tube. Look out for the Xylophone stuff - just very very funny.
